About usFormationSix Sigma Limited was formed as a limited company in 1999 - to help organisations achieve business transformation, relentless step-change and continuous improvement in business performance. It is a small business, able to react quickly and has a wealth of experienced business partners and Associates to call on. Managing DirectorThe MD is Malcolm Holden - an honours graduate of Leeds University and Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England & Wales. He has a Diploma in Business Excellence, is an active supporter of DEBP (an organisation that provides links between schools and the business community) and is on the Executive of the Derby Constructing Excellence Club. Malcolm served articles and qualified as an accountant with Thornton & Baker (now Grant Thornton International). Following two years as an audit manager, he left the profession to take up a financial position with Bass PLC, a £3 billion turnover multi-national manufacturing, wholesaling, retailing, hotel, leisure, betting and holiday conglomerate. He worked within the Bass Group for 20 years, in various executive roles including Director of Finance, IT and Total Quality Management, Group Systems Development Accountant, Company Secretary and Internal Consultant. In 1999 he left this company to form Six Sigma Limited - a 'no nonsense' management consultancy and training organisation - with a unique and powerful approach for business improvement. As MD of Six Sigma, Malcolm has worked closely with over 100 companies of all sizes in a variety of industry sectors including Aerospace, Automotive, Charities, Childcare, Construction, Distribution, Finance, Food & Drink, Further Education, IT, Leisure, Manufacturing, Services and the Public Sector. If you have a business problem or a specific requirement that Malcolm cannot help you resolve then he will say so at the outset - and wherever possible recommend someone who can. Support for charitySix Sigma Limited supports local charities, such as The Derbyshire Association for the Blind - and national charities such as Cancer Research.
