Committed to Equality
The Discrimination Act 1995 was replaced by the The Equality Act which became law on 1 October 2010. Six Sigma Limited has received appropriate training and has been duly certified as a 'Committed to Equality' organisation. In relation to websites, The Equality Act 2010 puts a greater obligation on website owners and hosts to ensure that visually impaired visitors are not discriminated against. Under previous legislation a website had to pass the test that it was not "impossible or unreasonably difficult" for a disabled user to access. Under the Equalities Act 2010, the bar has been raised to the effect that a visitor must not be put at a "substantial disadvantage", compared to a non-disabled user. This website has been designed to ensure that it is easily accessible to visitors who are visually impaired:-
