Quality circles

We are able to help clients set up and run quality circles / improvement teams.

The characteristics of a 'quality circle' are that it:-

  • is a small group of (normally) between three and seven people who do similar work

  • operates under the direction of a team leader

  • meets voluntarily
  • meets regularly

  • meets in normal working time

  • meets away from the work area so that team members do not get distracted

  • identifies, analyses and solves 'work-related' problems.


To be fully effective, all members of a quality circle need to have experience of a generic problem solving process so that they are all 'singing from the same hymn sheet'.
